In her nearly 20 years at WPI, Rachel has assumed a variety of leadership roles across the university. As a member of the university administration, Rachel is responsible for cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic initiatives and data-driven decision making. This includes managing university-level initiatives in areas such as the strategic plan, operational excellence, and institutional data analysis. Formed in mid-2021, the office of strategic initiatives and university analytics serves as a central hub for supporting change management using a data-driven approach.

Vijay Menta is WPI’s Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. He oversees Network Operations, Systems Services, Application Administration, Data Architecture, Enterprise Resource Planning, Support Services, Project Management, Academic Technologies, Research Computing, and IT Security for WPI community and plays a major role in the strategic initiatives of the university. ...

Steve is the Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police at WPI, responsible for leadership, management, and operation of the WPI Police Department, oversight of the university’s card access control system, and the WPI student – operated EMS service.



Chief Marsh has over thirty years of law enforcement experience, including twenty-six years of service with the Massachusetts State Police, retiring as a Lieutenant in 2018. Steve spent 5 years with WPI Police as the Deputy Chief before appointment as the Chief in January of 2023.
